About installation
The experimental station located in Tsalapitsa village (Plovdiv region), in the climatic region of East Central Bulgaria with suitable conditions for agricultural crops. Areas with Alluvial-Meadow soil type (Fluvisol) are identified as high risk due to their soil properties, shallow groundwater and cultivation of crops with intensive fertilization and irrigation.
Field experiment with two doses biochar addition and two rates of nitrogen fertilizer was conducted using the block method in four replications with maize. Monitoring the after-effects of biochar application in field experiment set in the second and third year. The main meteorological indexes are measured with meteorological station.
