The PLEN Agro Ecosystems Platform is a large field experimental station "Højbakkegaard" in Taastrup Denmark.  Højbakkegård includes a range of permanent, long-term experiments in arable and bioenergy cropping systems what can be used to analyze long-term effects of fertilizer application, use of organic waste and fertilizers such as sewage sludge, cattale manure, household composts, straw biochar etc, crop rotations. It is also possible to start up new experiments with the help of the technicians and farm aquipment available at the site. The experiments can be used to analze the effect of the treatments and agricultural management on various factors such as soil fertility, greenhouse gas emissions, other environmental emissions, accumulation of heavy metals and other pollutants, effect on microbial diversity and many more.
