ECIMAT is a Research Support Centre from the University of Vigo that offers state of the art facilities and specialised services for marine science. ECIMAT is open to any public or private entity or individual interested in marine research. Located at the southern margin of Ría de Vigo, it offers marine research laboratories, technological platforms for marine research, supply of marine biological resources, access to coastal ecosystems in the Ría (rocky and sandy intertidal zones, mud flats, estuaries, coastal areas with little human impact, seagrass beds, maerl bottoms), and sample processing and analysis, as well as any other supporting service to marine research. Service orientation, user support, flexibility and continuous improvement are ECIMAT´s core values, and as such, all our service provision system is certified under ISO 9001:2015
