The Analytical Labs for food quality, safety & authenticity facility (FQSA-AnLabs) includes highly advanced Mass Spectrometry, Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy equipment. Particularly concerning Metabolomics, it hosts two coupled platforms of chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-DAD-HRMS, GC- MS), for studies to determine the global metabolic profile of vegetable matrices for food use. These platforms are used for the identification and determination of the levels of approximately 1,500 non-volatile compounds and 200 volatile compounds, isolated from various plant edible products, and which constitute a large custom primary and secondary metabolite database.
