WUR-DLO Dairy Campus
Dairy Campus is the national dairy innovation, research, training and education facility in the Netherlands. Science and practice are gathered here under one roof. All activities are focused on the development of a sustainable dairy chain in terms of animal health and welfare, food quality and environmental impact. On a 14 ha Dairy Campus site, there are six units housing a total of 500 cows. The total farm area is about 300 ha. The milking parlour has a 40-stall external rotary milking platform. There is one robotic milking system which is used for research and practice-based learning. The average milk production at Dairy Campus is 9,800 kg per cow per lactation. Each dairy house has its own research function.
