The Innopharma drug screening and pharmacogenomics platform is linked to BioFarma research group from the University of Santiago de Compostela, which has a proven track record in applied research to early drug discovery in collaboration with biotechnological and pharmaceutical industries. BioFarma research group is involved in the open innovation models and has been collaborating with pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies worldwide in more than 25 projects, as well as in >90 projects and contracts funded by private and public bodies. Innopharma implemented projects focused on agriculture, e.g. identification, by means of high-throughput screening (HTS), of compounds acting on ABA receptors that allow plants to adapt to drought.
