The site houses a very large automated installation for high-throughput plant phenotyping, allowing to conduct both small deep phenotyping experiments and large-scale screenings with more than 10 000 plants. The system houses RGB, multispectral and hyperspectral cameras to automatically capture over 100 agronomical parameters from the images incl. root, shoot and ear/panicle related parameters. IPSA is linked to an automated high precision sprayer to apply pest control agents, biologicals and/or biostimulants to study beneficial or toxic effects. A soil mixing installation connected to a potting system allows the use of different substrates and the application of different levels of fertilizers or other substances in the soil.
