About installation
MULTIEXP is a multi-site of the experimental tests at different levels of studies.
It allows access to the fields experiment located at CIHEAM Bari campus (Valenzano, 5 ha) of vegetable crops (e.g. tomato, potato, cucumber, leafy vegetables), olive and citrus orchards, table and wine grape vineyards;
to farm: an organic-precision- table grape system (Castellaneta Marina, 8 ha) and an integrated- precision- olive system (Maruggio, 5 ha);
to land scale: Xylella fastidiosa outbreak in the province of Lecce and large-scale water management in the province of Capitanata.
Fields and farms experiment offer possibility to study different cropping managements systems (conventional, organic, integrated, precision, agroecological) under different soil, water and pest management strategies and technologies including impacts of climate changes.
