About Service

Utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for monitoring, irrigation, and dispersion of liquid and solid alternative products in standard and complex agricultural scenarios, with the aim of saving time, energy, reducing operational costs, and increasing treatment accuracy in the field.

The service will be delivered at CIHEAM Bari campus, Italy.

Specific informations

The unit is equipped with drones featuring RGB and multispectral cameras for crop monitoring, early detection of plant health issues, and analysis of agronomic conditions with superior precision. This information is crucial for implementing targeted agricultural practices in the optimal management of irrigation, fertilization, and the application of plant protection products, thereby improving the productivity and sustainability of agricultural businesses.

To support phytosanitary interventions and biological control in the field, the unit possesses specialized drones for liquid spraying and dispersion of powders and granules, allowing for precise distribution of sustainable biological products "above the canopy" or at specific points in the field. This approach reduces the need for large-scale treatments, optimizing resource usage and minimizing waste.
