The Analytical Labs for food quality, safety & authenticity facility (FQSA-AnLabs facility) can offer high-quality analytical services, dedicated to evaluation of food quality, safety, authenticity, and traceability of foods based on food composition analysis; nutrients and nutraceutical; elemental and organic profiles; metabolomics; safety of food products in relation to elemental analysis and organic contaminants; evaluation of the translocation of contaminants from the environment of production and along the food chain; demonstration of authenticity; geographical, botanical, and zoological origin determination. Characterization of food contact materials and food packaging systems (food product + its packaging material) can be performed too, e.g. for migration, shelf-life, sensorial properties – this is also involved in reducing food losses and wastes.
